Allison Hays Lane, is a curator and arts administrator, who has worked in the arts for over 30 years. In 2004, Ms. Hays Lane founded the OLANA GROUP, for arts consulting services and received her BA in Art History from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, NY and her MS in Museum Education from Bank Street College, NYC. NY with graduate studies at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ms. Hays Lane is a recipient of a 1988 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Museum Administration and has worked at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Book and curatorial projects completed by the OLANA GROUP include work done for Artpace, San Antonio Museum of Art, the McNay Museum of Art, the San Antonio Public Library, and AVIART GROUP & HJW VITA NOVA.
In 2006, Hays Lane was hired to curate and publish a catalogue on a collection of vintage WWI prints and propaganda posters from the San Antonio Public Library, Texana Collection. Hays Lane served as the editor of the re-issued catalogue, curator and lecturer. The exhibition toured the United States from 2008-2012 and then in Germany, United Kingdom and France, 2017-2018 to celebrate the Centennial of the signing of the Armistice. In the 12 years of the project, over 250,000 students, and military and communities worldwide enjoyed this exhibition.
Allison Hays Lane was hired in 2015 by University Health System to be the Archivist & Art Program Manager. Projects just completed for University Health System include the Robert LM Hilliard Center, completion January 2018, ongoing art and design enhancements for over 25 pediatric and patient areas, the Centennial celebration programming for the Robert B. Green, 2017 and serving as a contributor to the upcoming Trinity University Press book, University Health System at 100: The Journey from Charity Hospital to Academic Medical Center, 2019.
